Structures

Group Description:
The Structures group decides the best aerodynamic design for the rocket while also considering strength and stability. This group must design the structure that will stay in tact during flight, recovery, and transport. They must also take into account the needs of all the groups when doing this because the structure has to support all systems and not hinder their function while providing the best possible overall structure and aerodynamics of the rocket. The parts that this group is responsible for designing and fabricating to meet these requirements are the airframe, fins, and nose cone.

New for this Year:

The group will be constructing at least the airframe and the fins out of carbon fiber this year. More information coming soon...
