The Payload group must design and construct a payload involving a scientific experiment and/or engineering concept demonstration. This means that the payload must either make a measurement that can be compared with theoretical calculations, or must be a flight test for a prototype system/concept demonstration. The payload group must work closely with the Recovery and Avionics group as they most likely share power and various other electronic components such as an altimeter. They also must coordinate to decide when the recovery system deploys for the overall success of the mission

 

This year we intend to take scientific measurements for future developement as well as test a new prototype system. More information on this year's payload project will be posted soon.
